NARRATIVE

ALL UNITS WERE EB ON I-80 AT MM 134.9. TRAFFIC IN THE RIGHT LANE WAS BACKING UP DUE TO A BACK UP ON THE 2ND AVENUE EXIT RAMP. UNIT #2 SLOWED FOR THE BACK UP. UNIT #1 COULD NOT GET STOPPED IN TIME AND REAR ENDED UNIT #2. UNIT #2 SHOT ACROSS ALL 3 LANES HITTING THE JERSEY WALL COMING TO REST ON THE NORTH SHOULDER. AS THIS OCCURRED UNIT #3 REAR ENDED UNIT #4. UNIT #4 SPUN AROUND AND MADE CONTACT WITH UNITS 1 AND 5. UNITS 1,4, AND 5 CAME TO REST ON THE OUTSIDE SHOULDER. UNITS 2 AND 3 CAME TO REST ON THE INSIDE SHOULDER. MINOR INJURIES.
