NARRATIVE

UNIT ONE WAS NORTHBOUND ON R45 WHEN THE DRIVER WAS DISTRACTED BY PICKING SOMETHING UP OFF THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE THEN LEFT THE ROADWAY TO THE RIGHT ENTERING THE WEST DITCH ROLLING TWICE AND COMING TO A REST ON ITS WHEELS. BOTH OCCUPANTS WHERE TRANSPORTED TO MERCY MEDICAL CENTER IN DES MOINES. THE VEHICLE WAS REMOVED FROM THE SCENE.
