NARRATIVE

UNIT #1, AN IOWA STATE PATROL VEHICLE, WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON INTERSTATE 35 NEAR THE 4MM. THE OFFICER OBSERVED A SPEEDING VIOLATOR TRAVELING NORTH ON INTERSTATE 35 AND ATTEMPTED A U-TURN IN THE MEDIAN. DUE TO THE HIGH GRASS THE DRIVER DID NOT OBSERVE A CULVERT IN THE MEDIAN AND STRUCK THE CULVERT WITH THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE PATROL CAR CAUSING DAMAGE.
