NARRATIVE

VEH #1 WAS WESTBOUND ON HWY 92 IN THE RIGHT LANE. VEH #2 WAS WESTBOUND ON HWY 92 BEHIND VEH #1. VEH #1 SIGNALED AND PREPARED TO TURN NORTH ON 92ND AVE. DRIVER #2 RECEIVED A TEXT MESSAGE ALERT TONE ON HIS PHONE JUST PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT. DRIVER #2 ADVISED THAT HE HAD LOOKED AT HIS PHONE AND WHEN HE LOOKED UP, HE NOTICED VEH #1 IN FRONT SLOWING FOR A TURN. DRIVER #2 WAS UNABLE TO STOP HIS VEHICLE OR TAKE EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID A COLLISION. VEH # 2 STRUCK VEH #1 IN THE RIGHT REAR CORNER.
