NARRATIVE

UNIT 1 WAS TRAVELING NB ON INTERSTATE 35 IN THE RIGHT LANE HAULING TIRES, AND JOHN DEERE PARTS. UNIT 2 WAS TRAVELING NORTHBOUND ON INTERSTATE 35 IN THE LEFT LANE ABOUT TO PASS UNIT 1. A TIRE FROM UNIT 1'S LOAD WAS LOST AND WENT OUT ONTO THE ROADWAY. UNIT 2 TRIED TO BRAKE TO AVOID THE TIRE BUT WAS UNABLE TOO. UNIT 2 STRUCK THE TIRE AND THEN ENTERED THE MEDIAN. UNIT 2 CAME TO FINAL REST IN THE MEDIAN. UNIT 1 PULLED OVER ON TO THE SHOULDER. THE TIRE CAME TO FINAL REST ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE SOUTHBOUND LANES TO I-35. THE DRIVER OF UNIT 1 DID RETRIEVE THE TIRE.
