NARRATIVE

ON 4-26-11, VEHICLE #1 WAS STOPPED AT THE STOP SIGN ON K30 PREPARING TO TURN LEFT ONTO B40. WHEN IT APPEARED THERE WAS NO CROSS TRAFFIC THE DRIVER PULLED OUT, AS SHE PULLED OUT SHE NOTICED THE WESTBOUND SEMI AND SPED UP TO TRY AND AVOID THE COLLISION. AT THE SAME TIME THE DRIVER OF THE SEMI ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE AND TAKE THE SHOULDER. THE VEHICLES COLLIDED AND THE CAR CAME TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER WITH THE SEMI STOPPING ON THE GRAVEL ROAD ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE INTERSECTION.
