NARRATIVE

VEHICLE #1 WAS SOUTHBOUND ON I-35 AT THE 87.8 MILE MARKER WHEN IT ENCOUNTERED STOPPED AND SLOWING VEHICLES DUE TO AN ACCIDENT AHEAD. VEH #1 SLOWED AND CAME TO A STOP IN THE CENTER LANE. VEH #2 WAS SOUTHBOUND IN THE CENTER LANE BEHIND VEH #1. THE DRIVER OF VEH #2 ATTEMPTED BRAKING MANEUVERS BUT WAS UNABLE TO COME TO A STOP. VEH #2 THEN REAR-ENDED VEH #1 AND BOTH CAME TO REST IN THE CENTER LANE.
