ALL VEHICLES IN THIS CRASH ARE IS WESTBOUND ON I80 AT THE 137MM. VEHICLE #1 IS IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF TRAVEL. VEHICLE #5 IS BEHIND VEHICLE #1 IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF TRAVEL. VEHICLE #2 IS IN THE INSIDE LANE OF TRAVEL BESIDE VEHICLE #5. VEHICLE #3 IS FOLLOWING VEHICLE #5 IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF TRAVEL. VEHICLE #4 IS FOLLOWING VEHICLE #3 IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF TRAVEL. VEHICLE #1 LOOSES CONTROL OF HIS VEHICLE AND ROTATES COUNTERCLOCKWISE AND SLIDES INTO THE JERSEY RAIL BACKWARDS. THIS CONTACT IS TO THE REAR OF VEHICLE #1 TO THE JERSEY RAIL. AFTER IMPACT VEHICLE #1 BOUNCES OFF OF THE JERSEY AND COMES TO REST FACING EAST IN THE OUTSIDE LANE OF TRAVEL AND SHOULDER AREA. VEHICLE #1 DOES NOT HIT ANY OTHER VEHICLES BUT CAUSES THE REST OF THE CRASHES TO OCCUR. VEHICLE #2 SEES VEHICLE #1 COME INTO THE INSIDE LANE OF TRAVEL WHERE HE IS DRIVING AND ATTEMPTS EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID VEHICLE #1. VEHICLE #2 ROTATES COUNTERCLOCKWISE AND STRIKES THE JERSEY RAIL TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF HIS VEHICLE WHERE HE COMES TO REST FACING EAST ON THE INSIDE SHOULDER AGAINST THE JERSEY RAIL. VEHICLE #5 SEES VEHICLE #1 LOOSE CONTROL OF HIS VEHICLE AND HE BRAKES TO AVOID VEHICLE #1 AS HE CAREENS OFF OF THE JERSEY RAIL AND IN FRONT THE SEMI TRAILER HE IS DRIVING. VEHICLE #5 IS ABLE TO AVOID VEHICLE #1 BUT IN DOING SO VEHICLE #3 HAS TO COME TO A STOP BEHIND VEHICLE #5. AT THIS SAME TIME VEHICLE #4 IS UNABLE TO BRING HER VEHICLE TO A STOP AND STRIKES VEHICLE #3 TO THE REAR. THIS CONTACT IS TO THE FRONT OF VEHICLE #4 TO THE REAR OF VEHICLE #3. THIS CAUSES VEHICLE #3 TO BE PUSHED INTO VEHICLE #5. CONTACT OCCURS TO THE FRONT OF VEHICLE #3 TO THE REAR OF VEHICLE #5. ALL OF THIS CONTACT OCCURS IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF TRAVEL. AFTER THIS CONTACT VEHICLE #5 COMES TO REST ON THE OUTSIDE SHOULDER FACING WEST. AFTER CONTACT VEHICLE #3 COMES TO REST FACING WEST IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF TRAVEL AND COMPLETELY DISABLED. AFTER STRIKING VEHICLE #3 TO THE REAR VEHICLE #4 BOUNCES INTO THE SIDE OF VEHICLE #2 WHICH IS AGAINST THE JERSEY RAIL BEFORE COMING TO REST FACING SOUTHWEST IN THE INSIDE AND MIDDLE LANES OF TRAVEL. ALL OF THE ABOVE CRASHES WERE A RESULT OF VEHICLE #1 LOOSING CONTROL OF HIS VEHICLE CAUSING ALL OTHER VEHICLES TO HAVE TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION. |
