| NARRATIVE |
ON APRIL 11TH 2011, AT APPROXIMATELY 8:39PM, DEPUTY KLOSTERBUER 60-7 MADE CONTACT WITH A 1965 PONTIAC LEMANS DRIVEN BY MR. ERIC HOPEWELL. THE PONTIAC WAS STOPPED ON HIGHWAY 9 ON THE EAST SIDE OF ROCK RAPIDS FOR NO TAILLIGHTS, DEPUTY KLOSTERBUER PULLED UP BEHIND THE VEHICLE AND AS HE EXITED HIS VEHICLE THE PONTIAC DROVE AWAY AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. A PURSUIT ENSUED TRAVELING ALONG HIGHWAY 9 INTO OSCEOLA COUNTY WHERE THE VEHICLE TURNED SOUTH ONTO OLD HIGHWAY 60, MR. HOPEWELL FAILED TO STOP FOR THE POSTED STOP SIGN. THE PURSUIT CONTINUED SOUTH AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED THROUGH SIBLEY. THE PURSUIT WAS TERMINATED WHEN THE VEHICLES WENT OF THE ROADWAY ON THE ON RAMP FOR NEW HIGHWAY 60 (EXIT 48). |
