NARRATIVE

UNIT 1 (A PICKUP, PULLING A DUAL AXLE CAR TRAILER, HAULING A MEDIUM SIZED JOHN DEERE TRACTOR) WAS NORTHBOUND ON INTERSTATE 35 NORTH OF THE 126 MILE-MARKER. UNIT 2 WAS SOUTHBOUND ON I-35 SOUTH OF THE 127 MILE-MARKER. UNIT 3 WAS NORTHBOUND ON I-35 SOUTH OF THE 127 MILE-MARKER. UNIT 1 AS IT WAS TRAVELING NORTH BOUND LOST A TIRE/WHEEL FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE TRAILER, THE TIRE; CROSSED BEHIND THE TRAILER, ACROSS THE MEDIAN, HIT THE DRIVER SIDE OF UNIT 2, CAREENED OFF OF UNIT 1 BACK ACROSS THE MEDIAN AND WAS STRUCK BY UNIT 3 AS THE TIRE ROLLED NORTH. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED OR COMPLAINED OF. UNIT 1 CAME TO REST ON THE NORTHBOUND OFFRAMP OF I-35 AT THE 128 INTERCHANGE, UNIT 2 CAME TO REST ON THE APRON OF I-35 SOUTH OF THE 127 MILE-MARKER, UNIT 3 CAME TO REST ON THE APRON OF NORTHBOUND I-35 SOUTH OF THE 127 MILE-MARKER. SEATBELT USAGE PREVENTED INJURY OR DEATH AS THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED IN UNIT 2.
