NARRATIVE

VEHICLE #1 WAS BEING ATTEMPTING TO ELUDE AND BEING PURSUED BY WOODBURY COUNTY DEPUTIES. VEHICLE #1 WAS STOLEN AND THE DRIVER WAS SUSPECTED IN AN ATTEMPTED ARMED BANK ROBBERY. VEHICLE #1 WAS BEING DRIVEN EASTBOUND IN THE WESTBOUND LANES OF GORDON DRIVE/ IA HWY 12 IN SIOUX CITY. GORDON DRIVE IS FOUR LANES OF TRAVEL, SEPERATED BY A RAISED CONCRETE MEDIAN. VEHICLE #2 IS A ISP PATROL CAR BEING DRIVEN WESTBOUND TOWARDS THE PURSUIT. THE TWO VEHICLES APPROACHED HEAD-ON. VEHICLE #1ATTEMPTED TO AVOID VEHICLE #2 BY DRIVING INTO AND OVER THE CONCRETE MEDIAN. VEHICLE #2 INTENTIONALLY COLLIDED W/ VEHICLE #1 TO DISABLE IT AND END THE PURSUIT.
