NARRATIVE

VEHICLE NOT LISTED IN THE REPORT WAS STOPPED ON THE INTERSTATE, DUE TO MISSING THE RAMP TO SOUTHBOUND I-235. THIS CREATED A CHAIN REACTION OF EVENTS WHERE CARS TRAVELING 60MPH WERE UNABLE TO STOP IN TIME FOR OTHER BRAKING VEHICLES. VEHICLES #2 AND #4 WERE ABLE TO STOP IN TIME, BUT WERE HIT BY VEHICLES #1, #3, AND #5 THAT WERE FOLLOWING TOO CLOSE AND UNABLE TO STOP IN A CLEAR ASSURED DISTANCE. ORIGINAL CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT, (STOPPED VEHICLE) FLED THE SCENE.
