NARRATIVE

On 02-21-11, Unit 1 was traveling northbound on I-29 near the 74 mile marker, when unit 1 was struck by large pieces of ice. Driver explained that a semi that was also traveling northbound was losing ice off the top of the semi-trailer. After Unit 1 was struck the driver pulled over onto the inside shoulder of I-29 and called for help. No vehicle information on the semi that caused the damage. Unit 1 was able to drive away from the scene. Driver was uninjured.
