NARRATIVE

UNIT ONE WAS WESTBOUND ON G61 AT THE INTERSECTION OF BITTERSWEET AVE WHEN THE DRIVER FAILED TO NEGOTIATE THE CURVE OF THE ROADWAY. IN RESULT THE VEHICLE LEFT THE ROADWAY ENTERING THE NORTH DITCH ROLLING SEVERAL TIMES COMING TO A REST ON THE LEFT SIDE. THE DRIVER WAS TRANSPORTED TO MADISON COUNTY HOSPITAL AND LATER TRANSFERRED TO METHODIST HOSPITAL IN DES MOINES BY LIFE FLIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS REMOVED FROM THE SCENE.
