NARRATIVE

VEH #1 WAS WESTBOUND ON I-80 AT THE 39.5 MILE MARKER WHEN IT ENCOUNTERED AN ICE-COVERED BRIDGE SURFACE. AS THE DRIVER OF VEH #1 BEGAN TO LOST CONTROL, HE ATTEMPTED COUNTER MEASURES OF STEERING AND BRAKING. VEH #1 THEN LEFT THE ROADWAY TO THE LEFT, ENTERING INTO THE MEDIAN. VEH #1 THEN STRUCK STEEL BRIDGE GUARDRAIL WHICH CAUSED IT TO COME TO REST.
