NARRATIVE

UNITS 1 AND 2 WERE BOTH TRAVELING WEST ON INTERSTATE 80 NEAR THE 231 MILE MARKER WHEN A NON CONTACT VEHICLE IN FRONT OF THEM BEGAN TO LOSE CONTROL ON THE SNOW COVERED ROADS. UNIT 2 TOOK THE SHOULDER TO AVOID THE NON CONTACT VEHICLE. UNIT 1 WAS UNABLE TO STOP IN TIME AND THE TWO VEHICLES SIDESWIPED. UNIT 2 WENT INTO THE DITCH STILL FACING WEST WHILE UNIT 1 WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER ON THE SHOULDER.
