NARRATIVE

VEHICLE #1 WAS TRAVELING WEST BOUND I-80 NEAR THE 156 MILE MARKER IN THE INSIDE LANE. VEHICLE #2 WAS ALSO TRAVELING WEST BOUND I-80 IN THE OUTSIDE LANE. VEHICLE #1 BEGAN TO PASS VEHICLE #2. THE DRIVER OF VEHICLE #1 LOST CONTROL, WENT OFF THE ROADWAY TO THE LEFT, THE DRIVER OVER CORRECTED INTO THE PATH OF VEHICLE #2. VEHICLE #1 SPUN COUNTER-CLOCKWISE INTO THE MEDIAN DUE TO THE FORCE OF VEHICLE#2. VEHICLE #1 CAME TO REST IN THE MIDDLE OF THE EAST BOUND TRAVEL LANES. VEHICLE #2 SLOWED AND PULLED TO THE SHOULDER. VEHICLE #3 WAS TRAVELING EAST BOUND I-80. THE DRIVER SLOWED AND PULLED TO THE SHOULDER IN FRONT OF VEHICLE #1 TO ASSIST. THE DRIVER AND THE PASSENGER EXIT THE VEHICLE AND APPROACHED VEHICLE #1. THEY WERE UNABLE TO LOCATE THE DRIVER OF VEHICLE#1. AS THE DRIVER AND THE PASSENGER OF VEHICLE #3 RETURNED TO THEIR VEHICLE, THEY WERE STRUCK BY VEHICLE #4 WHICH WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND. THE DRIVER OF VEHICLE #4 WAS TRAVELING EAST BOUND I-80 NEAR THE 156 MILE MARKER. THE DRIVER SWERVED TO AVOID VEHICLE #1 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROADWAY. THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL AND STRUCK THE DRIVER OF VEHICLE#3 WHICH WAS STANDING OUT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE.
