NARRATIVE

UNIT 1 WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND IN THE EASTBOUND LANES OF I-80. UNIT 2 WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND IN THE EASTBOUND LANES BEGINNING A PASS OF THE NON-CONTACT VEHICLE WHEN THE DRIVER OF UNIT 2 DID NOTICE UNIT 1. IN AN ATTEMPT TO AVOID UNIT 1, UNIT 2 BRAKED AND BEGAN MOVING BACK TO THE RIGHT LANE WHEN UNIT 1 ONE DID STRIKE THE LEFT REAR DUEL TIRES OF UNIT 2'S TRAILER. UNIT 1 CAME TO A REST ON THE NORTH SHOULDER AND UNIT 2 SUSTAINED TWO FLAT TIRES AND CAME TO A REST ON THE SOUTH SHOULDER. DRIVER OF UNIT 1 WAS TRANSPORTED TO MERCY BY AMBULANCE WITH MINOR INJURIES.
