NARRATIVE

UNIT 1 AND UNIT 2 WERE EASTBOUND ON INTERSTATE 80 AT APPROXIMATELY THE 263 MILE MARKER. UNIT 2 LOST A TIRE TREAD FROM THE INSIDE, FRONT, PASSENGER SIDE DUAL TIRES, ON THE TRAILER. UNIT 1 WAS BEHIND TWO OTHER VEHICLES FOLLOWING UNIT 2. THE OTHER VEHICLES SWERVED AND MISSED THE TIRE TREAD. UNIT 1 STRUCK THE TIRE TREAD WITH THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE BUMPER AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR.
