| NARRATIVE |
**** EXPLAIN THE TRAFFIC CONTROLS FOR UNIT 001... THE LEFT INSIDE LANE AT THE 212.45 MILE MARKER WAS TEMPORARILY BLOCKED BY AN IOWA DOT ROLLING WORK ZONE AT THE TIME THE ACCIDENT OCCURED. SIGN TRUCKS, ARROW STICKS AND IMPACT ATTENUATOR TRUCKS WERE PROPERLY POSITIONED PRIOR TO THE ACCIDENT. ON AUGUST 9TH AT APPROXIMATELY 1352 HRS UNIT 1 WAS SOUTHBOUND ON I35 IN THE RIGHT LANE NEAR THE 212.45 MILE MARKER WHEN IT STRUCK UNIT 2. UNIT 1 SUSTAINED DISABLING DAMAGE BUT RAN FROM THE SCENE LATER STOPPING AT THE 208 MILE MARKER OFF RAMP WHERE HE WAS LOCATED BY LAW ENFORCEMENT. |
