NARRATIVE

UNIT ONE WAS EASTBOUND ON INTERSTATE 80 IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE. UNIT ONE WAS SLOWING AND COMING TO A STOP BECAUSE TRAFFIC AHEAD WAS STOPPING FOR AN EARLIER ACCIDENT ON THE WESTBOUND SIDE AT THIS LOCATION. UNIT TWO WAS ALSO EASTBOUND AT THIS LOCATION INITIALLY IN THE LEFT HAND LANE. THE DRIVER OF UNIT TWO DID NOT SEE TRAFFIC STOPPING AHEAD. THE DRIVER OF UNIT TWO THEN SLAMMED ON THEIR BRAKES AND SWERVED TO MISS A CAR IN THE LEFT HAND LANE. UNIT TWO SWERVED INTO THE RIGHT HAND LANE AND REAR-ENDED UNIT ONE. BOTH VEHICLES CAME TO REST ON THE SHOULDER.
